Mental Health Awards Winner 2023

Melanie Davies Mind Solutions has won The London and South-East Prestige Awards 2023/24 Hypnotherapy Service of the Year 2023.

The Prestige Awards celebrate small and medium-sized enterprises consisting of localised businesses and sole traders that have thrived in their highly competitive community and have proven their success.

Over the past year 11,277 nominations were received by the awards team at Prestige Awards by industry experts, readers, and satisfied customers. Winners were chosen on their marketing and branding, business growth methods, customer experience, and approach to new ideas.

The judging panel said they were particularly impressed by the personalised nature of the therapist’s packages at Melanie Davies Mind Solutions.

In addition to being an award-winning Hypnotherapist, Sleep Consultant and Stress Management & Resilience Coach, I've over 30 years’ experience as a teacher, mentor, coach, and trainer, helping people reach their goals and unlock their potential.

My ability to listen actively and read individuals provides a thorough grounding in understanding human emotions and behaviour, which complements my knowledge of neuroscience and training as a clinical hypnotherapist.

When I was 10 years old, my world was rocked when my darling mother died unexpectedly. This left me feeling fearful and insecure in many ways. Counselling and CBT helped to me understand why this caused me anxiety, but those negative feelings still gripped me. For many years, I struggled, feeling depressed and anxious about things I could not control.

Hypnotherapy released me from the weight of anxiety and grief, giving me the freedom to find my inner strength, to heal and be empowered to achieve more than I ever knew was possible. Now, I recognise that each day of life is a precious gift to be enjoyed, and I do just that!

I want to share the transformative healing power of hypnotherapy with you.

Drawing upon my personal experience combined with a wealth of professional training and expertise, I will support you to overcome the challenges in your life. I look forward to working with you.

Professional Credentials

Therapeutic and holistic training: I am a fully qualified and insured hypnotherapy practitioner, registered with the General Register of Hypnotherapists, (GHR), the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Additional qualifications include a Diploma in Stress Management and Resilience Building approved by the International Institute of Stress Management (ISMA), certification as a sleep consultant with additional training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, (CBT) and Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT).

I am a qualified and experienced an antenatal educator, perinatal and children’s yoga teacher and tutor, having devised and delivered courses in the UK and internationally. This work provides a solid foundation in understanding how to guide others into deep and healing relaxation, ideal to facilitate stress relief and effective hypnosis.

I am a member of the internationally renowned Sheila Granger Hypnosis Growth Club, a network of highly qualified peers across the UK, USA and Australia, with additional specialist qualifications as a Hypnomenopause ® practitioner and in delivering world renowned Virtual Gastric Band therapy for weight loss.

I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and abide by all my professional associations’ ethical codes with commitment to continued professional development and regular supervision.

Educational and Corporate fields: Qualifications and experience in the field of education include a Master’s degree and award of the founding fellowship of the Chartered College of Teachers for services to education.

As a seasoned teacher educator, I have trained other professionals at all career stages, developing expertise in instructional coaching. I have led diverse teams, facilitating in-person professional development the UK and USA, and providing online training for teachers globally, in countries as far afield as Mongolia, Zimbabwe and China.

I have worked with CEOs and staff in corporate and NGO settings.

Using this breadth of training and experience, I help individuals in private therapy sessions, run professional programmes for staff well-being and resilience in corporate and educational settings, and offer training and therapeutic sessions to community groups.
